Upper Alde-Ore Estuary: Survey access between 9th and 19th October – Wintering Bird Surveys

Surveyors will be out starting the wintering bird surveys for the Alde-Ore Embankment Improvement Scheme from Monday 9th October 2023 in all flood cells.

This will involve one survey visit per month between October 2023 and March 2024. This will be completed over two days per month at FC05 Iken, due to the length of survey area and tide restrictions.

The surveyors will follow all agreed biosecurity, sign-in and access arrangements.

If surveyors start early before office hours, the surveyors will not provide a courtesy knock at the FC’s with farm offices when they arrive. At Hill Farm, it has been agreed that the lead surveyor will phone the office upon completion at FC05 Iken or before the 4pm office closure if still out on site.
