On Sunday 15th September 2019, the fifth annual ‘Aldeburgh Fun Team Relay Triathlon’ which raises funds for the RNLI, East Anglian Air Ambulance and other local charities took place on Aldeburgh sea front. Kicking off at noon, the locally-run event consisted of a three-person team relay triathlon, featuring a swimmer, cyclist and runner.
Now at an impressive total of £7,000 raised for local charities in the four years the event has been running, the ‘Aldeburgh Fun Relay Team Triathlon’ has become a popular and highly anticipated occasion within the local area, encouraging friendly competition with a wide-spread participation in sport for all ages and abilities. With the integration of local businesses and community support, the sporting event has generated an excitement in the town.
