  • w/c 28th October – metal detectorists on site at the Substation Haul Road and at Sizewell Gap Road
  • w/c 4th November – site stripping and excavation will begin at the Substation Haul Road and at Sizewell Gap Road
  • w/c 18th November – setting up of compound at the Substation site
  • w/c 25th November – metal detectorists on site, followed by site stripping and excavating

You can find the start and finish locations marked on our interactive map.

This campaign of works is scheduled to take place over 10 months, dependant on findings. It will involve the use of excavators, dumpers, rubber track matting and towable welfare units. The works will only take place during working hours, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm.

Updates will be provided should traffic management be required, and as the project progresses.

Host Parish Councils have been notified and we held a community engagement focused on the works in August.
